Account Manager/BDM 5G Field and Military (m/w/d)

VIAVI is looking for an experienced, technical sales professional for the 5G field test equipment ecosystem and military segment.

As an Account Manager/BDM 5G Field and Military you will be responsible for the development of new business within the 5G and military sector. Your goal is to drive our Lab to Field initiative and identify how VIAVI can provide valuable services.

In this position you will work closely with Key Account Managers, Service Providers, NEM Services and the whole Contractor ecosystem. Business development and technical skills are a must as you will be representing our 5G portfolio from executive level to daily user. A deep understanding of customer application is needed. You are interacting with internal departments as well as external business partners and customers.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acquire new business opportunities within 5G Field and Gov/Military market
  • Pro-actively engage with industry to identify new business opportunities and customers through networking and hunting and collaboration with partner companies
  • Cultivate strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders and develop a network of relationship with visionary and influential customers
  • Be the voice of the customer against VIAVIs technical department to drive enhancement and need of the RF market
  • As a strategy driver within the team in Central and East Europe you need to be a real team player aligning all involved parties.
  • Use the internal tools and provide accurate and timely sales forecast
  • Market research and understanding of competitive product portfolio is key to build and drive the VIAVI strategy for Central and East Europe
  • Anticipate any change in the market, customer needs and requirements that could impact the overall revenue target.
  • Attend regional and national industry events as required

Voraussetzungen

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Deep knowledge and experience in RF technologies, Fiber know-how welcome
  • Strong sales personality and ability to multi-task, prioritize and to be effective in high-pressure environments
  • Strong communication skills in German and English as well as interpersonal and team skills
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electrical / Telcom Engineering or Apprenticeship in equivalent area and a minimum of 5 years industry experience
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics)
