Max-Planck-Institut für Entwicklungsbiologie
The Department of Protein Evolution at the Max-Planck-Institute for Developmental Biology in Tübingen is seeking to fill a
Postdoctoral Position in Macromolecular Modelling and Design
Candidates should hold a PhD in the natural sciences, informatics, or biotechnology, and have a proven record in computational approaches to the study of biological macromolecules (e.g. molecular dynamics analyses, protein design, design of RNA-peptide complexes).
Our department studies broadly the evolution of proteins by combining computational and experimental approaches, including bioinformatics, protein biochemistry, microbiology, and structural biology. A particular focus lies on problems relating to the transition from a primordial RNA-peptide world to the DNA-protein world observed today. The working language of the department is English.
